Inferno is one of the UK's most celebrated and high-profile
Abba tribute bands. It regularly pulls in sell-out audiences from venues around the country and around the world. The group was formed in the late 1990s with the aim of taking the tribute show to another level. One of the key features of
Inferno is completely live vocals in every performance. There are no back-up vocals on the tracks so the four members are all great singers in their own right - and the girls are also fabulous dancers! Incorporating a dash of humour with a good deal of audience participation, the band is equally at home playing to a select corporate/society audience, at an intimate wedding celebration, or in front of thousands at outdoor festivals throughout the UK and Europe. Let's meet the group!
AGNETHA
Mandy is the youngest member of
Inferno who started out working in 14-piece show bands whilst also juggling a career in session singing. This was swiftly followed by a very successful run on top cruise liners such as the Oriana and the QEII. Mandy has also performed around the world including Singapore and Australia. She was also lead vocalist and a finalist on the BBC Television programme, A Song For Europe.
FRIDA
Elke trained at the world-famous Italia Conti Academy of Theatre Arts where she studied singing, drama and dance. She then toured with Wayne Sleep and went on to perform in a number of Andrew Lloyd Webber musicals including Joseph and his Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat. She combines touring and performing with working as a choreographer and professional dancer plus a good deal of session singing.
BJORN
Steve is the manager of
Inferno. He started out working as a musician on top cruise liners such as the Oriana and the QEII. Since then, he has had a publishing deal with Warner Bros and has also worked with the likes of Mungo Jerry, Mud, Steps, A1 and members of The Brand New Heavies. Steve has also worked with Craig David's manager, Paul Widger, writing songs and playing guitar on an album for his band, NSG. Steve plays in a number of bands including the soulful party band,
The Fabulous Allstars. He also teaches guitar to children in schools and is a major player on the Abba tribute circuit. Did you know? Steve was born in Stockholm and speaks fluent Swedish!
BENNY
Steve has worked in the music industry for many years both as a musician and as a freelance audio/visual engineer. He has worked on cruise ships and has travelled with
Inferno.
The Fifth Member of the Band!
Another key feature is that, unlike many tribute bands who mix their sound on stage,
Inferno has a dedicated PA engineer. This ensures full control of sound quality and levels throughout the show enabling Agnetha, Frida, Bjorn and Benny to concentrate fully on a superb professional performance.
Inferno are at the pinnacle of the Abba tribute band scene - a must-see act guaranteed to make your important event a success!
